At his baptism God spoke directly to Jesus - but on the mountain, God was speaking to the three disciples, and through his word to us. Jesus was, is, and always will be the Son of God. Through Him, we will experience our own transfiguration from mortal life, through death, into eternal life.

The intimate, personal relationship that God shared with His Son He now shares with us. In order for us to know the fullness of what it means to be a follower of Jesus we have to make it personal.

Jesus was a man of action. Jesus’ actions are not just meant to inspire faith in us, they are meant to motivate us to act upon our faith. What are you willing to do to get someone to Jesus? Are you willing to do the hard thing just because it is the right thing to do?

WE are Christ's ambassadors. “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” May we seek to join the Magnificent Twelve as devoted, dedicated disciples of Jesus.
