One Small Doubt

The story of unlikely parents of a baby who would become a prophet reminds us that even the most devout among us have doubts. The writer of Hebrews tells us that “faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen.” Without eyes of faith, we ask small questions that throw everything about God’s provision into question, and even with eyes of faith, the world sometimes gets in the way.
One Small Vow

Sometimes honoring our commitments doesn’t make sense from a human perspective. Things change, people change, and even when it makes sense to break our promises, the small step of honoring our vows to God and to each other changes everything about our future.
One Small Barrier

The stories of five women who were part of Jesus earthly family tree are compelling in that all of them have a life circumstance that might disqualify them from being part of the Jesus narrative. Likewise, all of us have a reason we are not worthy to be included in the Jesus story. The forgiveness found in the promise of Jesus is a small thing that changes everything. Our past doesnt disqualify us from being part of Gods story. We need to TRULY believe that we are forgiven and that we have purpose and meaning. We are created to make a difference for God, but we can be hindered by guilt, shame, anger or sadness about our past.
