Made Right by God
Made Right by God - Part 2
"Righteousness Revealed" • February 24, 2019 • Duane Sheriff
We are not Made Right with God through anything we do, or don’t do. Righteousness is not earned, it is revealed. It was afforded us through the price Christ paid on the cross and all we need to do is believe in order to receive it.
Made Right by God - Part 3
"Self-Righteousness" • March 3, 2019 • Duane Sheriff
Self-righteousness blinds us to the fullness of the blessings of grace, to the full access of God’s righteousness, because we are focused on our own efforts to bring about change. When we see our inability to earn favor and humble ourselves enough to seek God’s help, we can fully be Made Right. We must be mindful of the symptoms of self-righteousness.
Made Right by God - Part 4
"Not by works" • March 10, 2019 • Duane Sheriff
We are Made Right by God’s grace, not by anything we have done or not done. We cannot earn it, it is a gift we only need to receive. While we are not saved BY works, we are saved FOR works, because the world should see God through how we live our lives.
Made Right by God - Part 5
"Complete Forgiveness" • March 24, 2019 • Duane Sheriff
We are Made Right by faith alone, not by our works. Christ paid for ALL of our sins on the cross - past, present and future. We must not let Satan, others or ourselves blind us from the complete and perfect, unending forgiveness we have received.
Made Right by God - Part 6
"The Final Sacrifice" • March 31, 2019 • Duane Sheriff
Our sin is not counted against us once we have been Made Right. We are made righteous and perfected in Jesus forever. Does that mean we are free to continue sinning? No, but we can purge our conscience when we make mistakes. God does not want us to be conscious of sin. He wants us to be conscious of righteousness.
Made Right by God - Part 7
"Grace and Mercy" • April 7, 2019 • Duane Sheriff
No one is perfect on their own merit. We will all make mistakes, but Jesus paid the price for past, present and future sin. We are Made Right by God's Grace and Mercy. By His Mercy we do not get what we do deserve and by His Grace we get what we do not deserve.
