Unconditional Love

Do you realize that God's love for us is not based on our performance or behavior but on His character and promises? Duane teaches the unconditional love and forgiveness that God made possible through the new covenant established by Jesus Christ. Even when we sin or fail, God's attitude towards us is one of mercy, not wrath or displeasure.
In Jeremiah 31:31-34, God promised to make a new covenant to replace the old covenant. In this new covenant, God writes His laws on the hearts and minds of His people. He will be their God while they are His people. This is an intimate, internal relationship with God rather than an external set of rules.
Hebrews 8:7-12 explains that God will show mercy for their unrighteousness and will remember their sins no more. Under this new covenant, there are no more mediators or barriers between God and His people. Everyone can have a personal, direct relationship with Him. God's love is steadfast, and His mercy endures forever.
