The power of the Christian life comes from the spirit, through the soul, expressed in the body. Surrendering our lives to Jesus doesn’t mean we become perfect overnight and will never struggle with sin. Our best life comes from refusing to conform to the ways of this world, refusing to give in to the temptations of sin, and renewing our minds to God’s way of seeing things.

Jesus came that we would be Made Whole - body, soul and spirit. Our spirit is renewed when we surrender to Jesus, and it becomes united to His Spirit. Our soul is continually renewed as we yield to our spirit rather than temptations. Our body connects us to this world where we are to exercise the authority God has given us - it too will one day be renewed!
