The New Reformation | Part 3 | Strongholds

December 1, 2024 • Duane Sheriff • Colossians 2:6–8, Ephesians 6:10–18, 2 Corinthians 10:3–6

Spiritual strongholds impact our hearts, churches, and nations. In part 3 of "The New Reformation," Duane Sheriff teaches how strongholds are formed and the spiritual weapons we have to dismantle them. Strongholds can hinder our spiritual growth and relationship with God. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 explains that although we live in the flesh, our battles are not against flesh and blood. These weapons are not physical but mighty through God for pulling down strongholds and casting down false arguments against the knowledge of God.

Strongholds start as simple thoughts that evolve into exalted ideas, which then become arguments against God's truth and entrenched in our belief systems. Satan builds these strongholds by using philosophies, traditions, and deceits that are contrary to God's word. Strongholds are dismantled when we replace lies with God's truth.
