In the third episode of "The Power Of Truth," Duane Sheriff teaches the crucial role of truth in the life of a believer and the responsibility to be a guardian of truth. As members of God's church, believers are the foundation for truth in a world often dominated by lies and deception.

Jesus is identified as 'the truth' in John 14:6, which says that knowing Him leads to true freedom and deliverance from the bondage of lies. In John 8:31-32, Jesus says, "If you continue in my Word, you are my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." God's Word is a formidable weapon that exposes and destroys strongholds of deceit.

As guardians of truth, we are responsible for knowing, living, and sharing God's truth in a world desperately in need of its transformative power.

The Power Of Truth | Episode 1 | A Spiritual Weapon

While we live in the physical world, our warfare is spiritual. In the new series, "The Power Of Truth," Duane Sheriff teaches the importance of truth in this spiritual battle. Believers face a spiritual battle for their children, marriages, churches, and even the nation's soul. Yet, many Christians today are disengaged from this battle. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 explains how truth helps us to cast down false arguments and bring our thoughts into obedience to Christ. This spiritual battle requires divine weapons, and truth is one of our greatest spiritual weapons. Ephesians 6:14 describes the "belt of truth" as the first piece of the armor of God. Truth is the foundation that connects all other pieces of spiritual armor. Our faith, represented by the shield of faith (Ephesians 6:16), is directly linked to our knowledge of God's Word, which is truth. While God's love is important, the truth of God's Word sets people free (John 8:32). Speak the truth in love, courageously believing its power to change lives, heal relationships, and transform society.

The Power Of Truth | Episode 2 | Suppressing The Truth

In the second episode of "The Power Of Truth," Duane Sheriff teaches that God's truth is our greatest weapon against Satan's strategies of deception and fraud that have invaded our culture. Romans 1:18 explains how unrighteous individuals suppress the truth, which is evident today in media, politics, our school system, and even some churches. In John 8:31-32, Jesus says, "If you abide in my Word, you are my disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." Truth is not subjective but absolute and objective, rooted in God's Word. Jesus prays in John 17:17, "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth." God's Word doesn't just contain truth; it is truth itself, unchanging and eternal. In this episode, Duane warns against believing lies about God, ourselves, and His will for our lives. By knowing the truth, we can recognize that we face a spiritual battle and use the weapon of truth to combat the lies that enslave people. It's through "The Power Of Truth" that we will be can achieve true freedom and transformation.

The Power Of Truth | Episode 4 | Sanctifies Us

In the fourth episode of "The Power Of Truth," Duane Sheriff teaches the role of sanctification. The truth of God's Word possesses the transformative power to set believers apart from the world's deceptions and lies. John 17:17, Jesus prays, "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth." He explains that sanctification, or being set apart, happens supernaturally through exposure to and embracing God's truth. In John 15:1-3, Jesus speaks about being the true vine and believers being the branches. God's Word prunes and cleanses, cutting away the dead, unproductive parts of our lives to help us bear more fruit. This sanctification process might be uncomfortable, but it is essential for spiritual growth and maturity. Ephesians 4:11-14 underscores the importance of the fivefold ministry in equipping the saints and promoting unity in faith. These ministries help believers mature and attain the fullness of Christ, no longer being tossed to and fro by deceitful doctrines. Sanctification is an ongoing, daily process facilitated by a deep, abiding relationship with God's Word, enabling believers to grow in faith and truth.
