Praise With Understanding | Part 5

Part 5

July 13, 2008 • Duane Sheriff

Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our king, sing praises. For God is the king of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. (Psalm 47:6-7) We sometimes speak of the mysteries hidden in the Word of God. Look again at those two scriptures and there is a message, sent so strongly, we can hardly consider it “a mystery!” Spirit-filled believers and churches should be praising God and doing so with understanding. We need knowledge of all that God has done, is doing and will do. This will lead us toward understanding and praise will come. “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” (Hebrews 13:15) This is bloodless sacrifice that ministers to God.
