Christianity means leading a blessed life but we still have to live in the real world. We do not have a Disneyland existence where we get saved and get on the Peter Pan ride for life! Matthew 5:1-12 speaks of eight characteristics possessed by people who are blessed. Yet hardships and trials will come our way, just as they do to all people. So what is blessed? It is having unbounded joy, being happy, being envied and spiritually prosperous! Even constant persecution and hardships cannot take away our blessedness. It is something birthed on the inside of us that cannot fail us as long as we know who we are in Christ.
