The New Birth | Part 1

Part 1

October 7, 2007 • Duane Sheriff

Nothing is as fantastic and powerful as the new birth experience, if we dare to tap into it! “Turning over a new leaf” is not Christianity. We must call on God and He will rake our whole yard clean! There are people who sit in church week after week who listen and feel blessed by the experience, but who are not born again. Jesus had a conversation with Nicodemus in John 3:1-17 where Jesus took him through a beautiful explanation of the new birth experience. We must see the truth of “who Jesus is,” by the spirit, and confess Him as Lord. In that confession of faith, something happens deep inside, in which we get a new heart and become a new person inside. As we walk it out, this new life begins to show on the outside.
