Holy Interruptions

Trusting God’s Timing and Plan in the Midst of Life’s Surprises

December 1, 2024 • Chris MacQuoid, Missy MacPhail • Luke 1:26–33

This week’s sermon, led by Chris MacQuoid and Missy MacPhail, begins the “Simply Jesus” series, exploring how God’s divine interruptions shape our lives. Drawing from Luke 1, the message emphasizes three transformative truths:

1. God’s interruptions lead to His purpose. As seen in Mary’s encounter with Gabriel, unexpected moments often realign us with God’s more excellent plans.

2. God’s interruptions always come at the right time. Though they may seem inconvenient, God’s timing is perfect for His glory and our growth.

3. God’s interruptions draw us closer to Him. These moments are invitations to deepen our relationship with Him, to experience the hope of Immanuel, “God with us.”

Missy and Chris share inspiring stories and scripture to encourage reflection on how God’s plans unfold during this Christmas season.
