The Blessing of Being Persecuted

Persecution for our belief is to be expected, but Scripture gives several reasons we are to rejoice.

In these beatitudes Jesus shows us the kind of heart that humble righteousness yields.

Righteous is our basic need and a hunger for righteousness is the basic quality of saving faith.

In what is called, Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, the way to blessing is counterintuitive and counter-cultural.
