Jesus institutes the New Covenant of His body and blood at the Lord's Supper in the midst of uncertainty and betrayal.

Mark closes his gospel in a peculiar but purposeful fashion to highlight Christ's death and leave us with an important question.

In recording the event of Jesus' crucifixion, Mark reveals most clearly the identity of Jesus as God's suffering servant and king.

The innocence of Jesus is made clear, while Barabbas is a picture of our guilt.
