Don't Be Snob

Hi Interpreters! I wanted to share something to be aware of…
at general Christian Community such as church or wherever and you interpret for us
we really appreciate it but we really wanted you, Christian Interpreters to look at us
Deaf Christians and You, as Interpreters equal like a group of believers such as after
Church we could have a nice fellowship and chat because we both are body of Christ with similar experiences/struggles. Sometimes I feel like you Christian Interpreters more superior than us Deaf by leaving quick after church without interacting with us/each other as a church body. Let you know if you had stayed and interact with each other then you could improved or enhance your ASL language. Also by interacting we would be sharing with each other’s issues/problem as we both do have similar ups and downs problems/issues in life. This is something I wanted to encourage you, interpreters to ponder on this and consider this, you and us, Deaf Community have a good connection/relationship.
