The Unsearchable Riches of the Bible

Ephesians 3:4-9

January 7, 2018 • Pastor Adam Sinnett • Ephesians 3:4–9

This morning we’re kicking off a fresh series of standalone sermons that we’re informally calling our ‘new year essentials.’ Our aim over the next five weeks is to address the nature of the Bible, racial reconciliation, sanctity of life, God’s mission in the world, and vocation. Today my simple, but profound, goal is to encourage us to read the Bible with an aim to see and savor God’s supreme value, in Jesus. My hope, and that of all the elders, is that we would treasure this book for the treasure it reveals even more deeply this year. The treasures it contains are unsearchable, which makes this book precious beyond value.

Working For The Lord

February 4, 2024 • Pastor Adam Sinnett • Colossians 3:22–25

We are returning to an annual sermon series we refer to as our New Year Essentials. These sermons address subjects to which we must repeatedly return for the glory of God and the transformation of our lives. These are different sermons, taking different angles, on issues we need to come back to again-and-again. Today, we consider how our work relates to God and his purposes in the world. What we'll see is that all our work matters to God, and God matters to all our work.

These sermons address subjects to which we must repeatedly return for the glory of God and the transformation of our lives. These are different sermons, taking different angles, on issues we need to come back to again-and-again. Today, we consider Jesus’ mission for his people by asking, How does the good news of Jesus spread? What can we learn from that as Jesus’ people in Seattle?
