Romans 13:11-14

It is a timeless, divinely-inspired masterpiece on the joy-filled-life-as-it-should-be freedom found in Jesus alone. For eleven chapters, Paul unfolds the heights and depths of the gospel of Jesus. Then, in chapters 12-16, he applies God’s gospel-forged mercies to our many relationships. Today, in 13:11-14, he exhorts us to live in light of Jesus’ imminent return.

It is a timeless, divinely-inspired masterpiece on the joy-filled-life-as-it-should-be freedom found in Jesus alone. We have immersed our hearts and lives in this letter for the past two and a half years. Today, in 16:25-27, Paul bursts into a fitting doxology (praise of God) that not only summarizes the main themes of his letter but sets our hearts aflame in worship.
