This message challenges the pride and elitism of thinking God only works through our own group or methods. Using the disciples’ attempt to stop a man casting out demons in Jesus’ name because he wasn’t "one of them," the message emphasizes Jesus’ reminder that God’s work is bigger than any one group or organization. The sermon highlights two key principles: it’s not all up to us, and it’s not all about us, but it really all about Jesus! This calls believers to humility, grace.

First, it reminds us that God often chooses the least to accomplish the most for his glory. Secondly, we see that God is the initiator and the disciples respond. Thirdly, the purpose of following is foremost communion with the living savior, Jesus.
