Doctrines of the Faith

The End Times: The End Is Near

April 10, 2022 • Pastor Scott Randlett • 1 Peter 4:7–8, Luke 21:10–11, Matthew 24

Before the end, people will get distracted and will cause destruction. The end will come with the rapture of the Church, the bride of Christ joining the Father, the judgement seat of Christ, the marriage Lamb of God, the triumphant return, the millennial reign, and the eternal city. Until it ends, we can be sure we're ready and focus on relationships.

Angels: The Unseen World

March 27, 2022 • Pastor Scott Randlett • Isaiah 6:2–3, Luke 1:30–31, Luke 22:42–43, John 10:10

What is the truth about Satan? He is a fallen spirit (angel), not equal to God, who wants to destroy what God created, but ultimately will be defeated. What is the truth about angels? They are eternal, created, servant spirits, who worship God. They direct us when we are troubled, strengthen us when we are weak, and protect us when we are in danger. What does it mean to me? We can look out for our enemy and at the angels helping. And we can look up at the One who sent the angels.

Humanity: We're All Human

March 20, 2022 • Pastor Scott Randlett • Romans 5:8–12

All humanity was created by God with identical worth to God. All humanity has a purpose for God: to bring glory to God, to carry out His work, and to reflect His image. All humanity has broken what God created, but only God can restore what humanity has broken. There is hope.

The Church: What's the Big Deal?

March 13, 2022 • Pastor Scott Randlett • Matthew 16:18, Acts 2:41

What is the purpose of the church? The church is where we encounter the presence of God through prayer and worship. And the church exists for the good of others by sharing the Gospel, serving the hurting, and spending time in God's house with God's people.

Salvation: What is the Gospel?

March 6, 2022 • Pastor Todd Hartley • Romans 3:10, Acts 4:12, John 3:14–17

Everyone is in need of salvation. No one can accomplish it on their own. There must be a payment for our sin, which only Jesus can pay. We must have belief: turning from (repentance) and turning to (faith).

The Bible: Can You Trust It?

February 27, 2022 • Pastor Scott Randlett • 2 Peter 1:16–21, 2 Corinthians 5:17

Can we trust the Bible? The Bible is scientifically and historically accurate, supernaturally and prophetically written, quoted and trusted by Jesus, stronger than any attack, and still changing lives every day.

The Holy Spirit: The Forgotten God

February 20, 2022 • Pastor Scott Randlett • Titus 3:3–7

Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, equal in deity, and active in our daily life. He indwells us at salvation, strengthens us with His power, seals us forever, convicts of what is wrong, makes us more like Jesus, and comforts us in our suffering.

The Son: No One Like Him

February 13, 2022 • Pastor Scott Randlett • Matthew 16:13–16, Colossians 1:15–20

Who is Jesus? Jesus, the Son, is God. He is eternal. He is always working. And He makes peace possible.

The Trinity: God Is ...

February 6, 2022 • Pastor Todd Hartley • John 20:17, 1 Timothy 4:16, Genesis 1, John 1

What we believe directly impacts how we live. What do we believe about God? God is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: the Trinity.
