This scholarship is designed to encourage students to explore and express their political opinions and become more active in both local and national politics. Open to DACA recipients, for students who are current in college, graduate school or adult learners. The $1,000. May be used at any college to study any major.
Oversee Press Club (OPC) Foundation Scholarship
Graduate and undergraduate students, studying at American colleges and universities nationwide or Americans studying abroad, who aspire to become foreign correspondents, are invited to apply for one of 16 scholarships or fellowships to be awarded by the Overseas Press Club Foundation. From among those chosen for OPC Foundation recognition, the Foundation selects up to 12 scholars and pays travel and living expenses for them to spend time at foreign bureaus at such leading news organization as the Associated Press, Reuters, GroundTruth, Wall Street Journal and Forbes and at foreign English-language media companies like the South China Morning Post. Students win either a $2,000 grant or funding for their overseas experience. In many cases, winning a prestigious OPC Foundation award has helped launch careers. Winners are also invited to join the Overseas Press Club family. They are encouraged to network and keep the organization informed of their career moves.

We created our Opportunity Scholarship for DREAMers who live in states where they effectively have no access to college – either because they face paying out-of-state tuition or because their state will simply not admit them into its universities. Your application for TheDream.US Scholarship Application will also serve as your application to our Opportunity Partner Colleges. You do not need to complete the Partner College application for admission. About the Award The Opportunity Scholarship Award will cover your tuition, fees, and on-campus housing and meals at one of our Partner Colleges up to a maximum of $80,000 for a bachelor’s degree. The Award is renewable each year – you simply have to meet the continuing eligibility criteria – including continuous full-time enrollment (more than 12 credits per term) and a college GPA of 3.0.
