2018 PepsiCo Cesar Chavez Latino Scholarship

The Cesar Chavez Foundation is providing $300,000 in scholarship awards to Latino students who live in Arizona and California. Note: As indicated on their website, this $5,000 scholarship opportunity is open to Latino students “regardless of national origin or immigration status”. Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on their academic excellence, leadership in extracurricular activities, commitment to volunteer service in the community and financial need. Here are the eligibility requirements: Applicant must be an incoming or continuing full-time undergraduate student at any education institution for the 2018-2019 Academic Year. Applicant must be of Latino descent. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be attending a college in Arizona or California. The scholarship is available in Arizona and California. Scholarship is available to U.S. Citizen, Permanent Legal Resident, Undocumented Resident, DACA or Eligible Non-Citizen (as defined by FAFSA).

UNP-Wolf/Meritus Scholarships

Requirements: Up to five $3,000 scholarships will be awarded for the 2018-2019 academic year. Preference is given to current or previous residents of Salt Lake City’s west side communities who have clear financial need and show commitment to the goals of UNP. This scholarship may be used for educational expenses, e.g. tuition, fees, books, and/or supplies for any post-secondary program, including vocational and technical training. Eligible students must be either a high school senior, someone who has earned a GED, a Freshman in an undergraduate program, or transferring from a two-year college to a four-year institution in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree. This scholarship is open to undocumented students (with or without DACA) who graduate(d) from a Utah high school.

Scholarship Description Design something creative that illustrates your passion for your specific creative field. This can be done in absolutely any medium (drawing, painting, animation, digital media, film, etc.) Submit an essay that explains this piece of work. Also, make sure to express why you should receive this scholarship and any financial hardship that you may be going through. It can be as long as you want and as short as you dare. Scholarship applicant does not need to be a U.S. citizen - undocumented students are encouraged to apply.
