Love is the first fruit listed in the Fruit of The Spirit, and it’s a very important thing to have in our lives. Love can be hard to define, but the Bible does a pretty good job! God takes love very seriously.

'Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails' (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).

When we’re gentle, we’re showing that we care about someone or something. If we are gentle with how we talk to people, we’re telling them that we care about their feelings. If you are gentle with someone else’s property, you’re saying that you care about them. God loves everyone, and he wants us to treat people with gentleness.
