There is always so much more happening in our lives than we realize on the surface. There is so much more that God is orchestrating than what we see on the surface. There was so much more than just the birth of a baby.

Over the next several weeks leading up to Christmas Eve, we will journey through Luke 2 on the story of the birth of Christ. We really want to dig into each verse and we hope it bring to life the story like never before to you.

The shepherd's response to meeting Jesus should be our response today. The Thrill of Hope is that we are no longer unclean and unworthy to be in God's presence because in Christ we have a savior who has conquered our sin and set us free. This should cause us to glorify and praise God for all the things we have heard and seen.

We have established why Joseph and Mary were the ones chosen to be the earthly father and mother of Jesus. We have discussed that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem, and we talked about how God was going to get Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem. So, why was it so important that Jesus be born in Bethlehem?
