Since Genesis 3:15, we have seen that the ultimate plan was that Jesus would be King and conquer satan. How He would do that would be two distinct moments: In His first coming, Jesus came as a suffering servant to conquer sin. In His second coming, Jesus would be the conquering king to destroy the serpent.
