Grateful Hearts

Today we explore what it means to have a 'grateful heart' A guide to help practice gratitude: Name 3 things about the past day for which you can give thanks. Name three people you are thankful for. (What is it about them that you appreciate?) Name three beautiful things or places you have seen recently. (What did you notice about them?) Name three things you are thankful for about yourself and how you are made. Look at your list … if God is the giver of all good gifts, what do these gifts tell you about the Giver? Once you reflect on these things, take a moment and write a Psalm of thanks/praise. Thank God for the people he’s put in your life, the places he’s put you in and the ways he’s fearfully and wonderfully made you. Allow that Psalm to be an expression of gratitude for how great He is! And remember, "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
