The world is an awesome place.

But as we look, observe, cultivate, and enter the wild...we learn about ourselves and meet God.

Exploring the Unknown

There is a Hebrew word for "explore" used 24 times in the Old Testament, and it ties together two stories. In these two stories, we find people exploring God's physical world looking for something that wasn't physical. One was a group of people exploring to find a home, the other was a man exploring to find the meaning to life. As people who have been called to follow Jesus - we have not been called to sit on the side lines - but to do what is hard and follow Jesus into the unknown.

Growing in Seasons

The earth's tilt brings seasons for us in Kansas. And these weather seasons impact us, nature, and animals more than we realize. When we look at seasons we can see that God is faithful and awesome. When we observe seasons (as the author's in Scripture do), we can learn something deeply true about ourselves: we were meant to grow within the process of seasons. No longer do we have to try to keep things "75 and sunny" in our life - we can embrace the spring, summer, autumn, and winter of life with joy and purpose.

Climbing The Mountain

Mountains in Scripture are places where people experience unhindered relationship with God...but it wasn't always that way. And so as we see God fight to give us a place to experience Him unhindered, it makes more sense why Jesus did it throughout His life, and why we should keep doing it today.
