At the end of chapter 2...All was good, no shame, no fear, Adam and Eve were together, and relationship with God thriving.

At the end of chapter 3...sin, shame, fear, hiding from each other, separated from God and kicked out of Eden.

The Flood

In Genesis 6.6 God says that he regrets making man. In Genesis 6.7 God says that he is going to destroy the world. But as we look at this story we find a few things: 1) God cares about you deeply. 2) God will let you go if you want. 3) God has provided a way out of the chaos.

You can only get to where God is taking you by stepping out in faith. And in this journey you will mess up. What you do after you mess up is of upmost importance. Satan licks his chops in this moment, while God tells you to lift up your face and keep moving towards what He has for you.
