Jesus had the most remarkable ministry. Everywhere He went, people were amazed by His teachings and His works. However, it seems that everywhere Jesus went, trouble was always near. Not everyone was happy about Jesus. Not everyone believed in who Jesus was, and it wasn’t for a lack of trying to help them understand. In John 6 Jesus taught that He was the bread of life. This was a truth that the crowds could not wrap their minds around. As we continue to follow Jesus’ ministry we see that people remained divided about who He was. In John chapter 7 we read, “40 When some from the crowd heard these words, they said, “This truly is the Prophet.” 41 Others said, “This is the Messiah.” But some said, “Surely the Messiah doesn’t come from Galilee, does he? (John 7:40-41) In this series we will see that Jesus continues to face opposition. And typical of Jesus, we see that He was not afraid to confront it. Jesus’ message was clear: He is the Light of the world. Anyone who follows Him will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life. (John 8:12)
