Week 2 | LifeGroup Notes

May 19, 2024 • Myles Wolf • Matthew 11:28–30, Ecclesiastes 3:9–14

Have you ever wondered what it truly means to love? Love is a word thrown around often, but how do we translate that feeling into action? In the Gospel of John, chapter 13, we find ourselves in the upper room with Jesus and His disciples on the night before his crucifixion. This intimate setting becomes the stage for a powerful display of love unlike any other. It is here that Jesus sets the example of humility by demonstrating His love for His own. Over the next few weeks, we will be diving deep into John 13, exploring Jesus' teachings and actions in this pivotal moment. We will witness a radical act of humility, a new commandment given, and a profound lesson on what it means to be a follower of Christ. This series will challenge us to move beyond the comfortable and familiar notions of love. We will see how Jesus calls us to a love that is active, sacrificial, and transformative. Join us as we embark on this journey together, asking ourselves: How can we embody Jesus' radical love in our own lives?
