- A follower of Christ loves and prays for all people as a reflection of their heavenly Father.

- A follower of Christ loves and prays for all people because they are distinct from the world.

- A follower of Christ must pursue holiness and develop a wholehearted focus on God.

- Intellectual knowledge alone does not bring eternal life. - A surrendered life points to Jesus. - The authority of Jesus demands a response.

- Lip service alone does not bring eternal life. - Remarkable works alone do not bring eternal life.

- False teachers exist and desire to harm the church. - Engaged followers of Jesus must recognize and confront false teachers.
