####CG Questions - Romans
**Week 1 - Recap Chapters 1-8**

**Exercise:**

Break up in pairs and have each person take one minute to share the good news of the Gospel with the other. When you come back together as a group, share your experience.

####Questions:

- What can we learn about growing and taking the Gospel forward from the early church during the time of the writing of the Book of Romans?
- Why is Romans 1:16-17 so crucial to our faith? How should this encourage you?
- What about this week's teaching through Romans has convicted you, encouraged you, or caused you to reevaluate your life? What part of "the sentence" (see 'notes' below) do you struggle with? What is God saying to you through this message?
- How do you feel when you hear that God loves you? Why do you feel this way?
- What is the balance between being free from the law and not just doing whatever we want?

**Scripture:**

- Romans 1-8
- Romans 1:1-4
- Romans 1:16-18
- Romans 2:5, 12
- Romans 3:23-28
- Romans 5:1;5-8
- Romans 6:14-15
- Romans 8:1-2, 15-17

**Notes:**

The Good News of Jesus Christ, who satisfied the wrath of God for wicked sinners, as a free gift received by faith; He made peace with God, who loves us, freeing us from sin and the Law to live free in the Spirit as sons and daughters.

SALVATION:

1. God rescues us from guilt, the pollution of sin, slavery and the penalty of sin.

2. God brings us into a new relationship with himself, as we are accepted as his children, made righteous and holy, free to obey and glorify God; a new relationship that starts now and lasts for eternity.
