A Church Ready for Jesus

Bride - Sermon Series

A Unified Church

February 19, 2023 • John 17:13–26

In His final hours on the Earth, Jesus prayed for us. What did He pray for? He asked for unity among His people. Our unity as a global church and a local church is an incredible testimony to the world that the love of Jesus is real.

A Wise Church

February 12, 2023 • 1 Corinthians 1:18–31, 1 Corinthians 13:11

Our emotionally charged world often fails to turn to wisdom to calm and steady our hearts. As believers in Christ, we are called to a standard of wisdom that is of Christ. He is wisdom. The Bible promises that if we ask God for wisdom, He will grant it. We are also called to put childish things behind us and walk in maturity.

A Loving Church

February 5, 2023 • Ephesians 3:10–19

The hallmark showing that we really "get" our faith is whether or not we show love for others. When we accept the love of Christ, we give up the right to hate and withhold love. This does not mean that we create some weird utopia where everything is perfect, and there is no struggle. Deeper than that, it means that our love is not transactional or conditional. We choose to love each other through our struggles and difficulties. Is that easy? No. Is it worth it? Absolutely. As the church, we are called to a transformational love with one another. This love should spill over into the world around us that is aching for truth, humility, and authenticity.

A Prepared Church

January 29, 2023 • Exodus 2:11–13, Exodus 4:13

What does it mean to be prepared to answer God's call? We feel that because of past sins, a busy schedule, or personal limitations, we're not suited to say yes to the Holy Spirit when He prompts us to act. But God knows and sees us and still asks us to serve His Kingdom. In the second sermon of our Bride series, we examine what it means to serve Christ despite our shortcomings and how saying yes when He asks us to do something leads to powerful lives lived for Him.

A Faithful Church

January 22, 2023 • Revelation 19:6–9, Ephesians 3:10–11

Marriage is a tremendous picture of the type of relationship that God wants with us. As the church, collectively, we are the Bride. He is the Bridegroom. God loves the church. He sent Christ to die for it. He is faithful and true. God is for us and wants us to flourish. Join us as we consider how devoted our hearts are to the One that loves us the most Are we being faithful to him?
