The Word of God continues to give when you dive in. This fact is on full display as we take a look at an obscure Old Testament story from 1 Kings 13. While this story is remarkable and memorable, it speaks one simple truth to us all: Disobedience is costly.
Discernment is the ability to judge well. It is the insight into right and wrong and the knowledge to provide solutions. All of this must be done with love and humility. As believers, we are called to show discernment in all things. To have this, we must pray, be in the Word, and lean upon others so we can see clearly. If we do this, we can answer the following question: "Do I get in the fight? Or do I get out of the way?"
God has lavished love upon us. This love is not to be hidden within but rather reflected upon others. It is a light that illuminates the world, our homes, and the church. It distinguishes us as a chosen people. As we show this love, we grow in our faith, and we grow in number.
