"Citizens of Heaven"
January 5, 2025 • Daniel Kitchel • Philippians 3:15–21
Paul reminds us that nothing in this world will truly satisfy the longing of the soul. As Christians, if we do not surrender to this truth, our chances of spiritual maturity are very slim. One of the lies we must work against is the temptation to think, "One more will be enough, and then I will be satisfied."
This world has many blessings and things to love, but this world is not our home. We are citizens of heaven. This is an active citizenship, and we are to live it out right now. What does this mean for us?
-We have a good King who is our authority.
-We are ambassadors who represent the Kingdom of Heaven
-We are called to love the other citizens of the Kingdom.
