ICEBREAKER: What is something new that you have learned or tried over the past two months?

Read 1 Peter 1:3-9.

What does Peter give as a basis for our living hope? What does the phrase living hope mean? How does Jesus’ resurrection bring comfort during trials?

Peter talks about inheritance in this passage. How do we normally receive an inheritance? How do we receive the inheritance that Jesus makes possible?

Why do trials and hardships reveal the value of our faith? Share an example of a difficult season or situation that helped strengthen your faith? How can these difficult seasons be opportunities for us to share the hope that we have in Jesus?

Paul talks about letting our old life of sin die. How do we do that? What helps us to resist temptation from our old life? How does the death and resurrection of Jesus help us? What is something that you can do this week to be dead to sin and alive to Christ? How can we pray for each other this week? Groups Questions. ICE BREAKER: What is the first thing you do on Sunday mornings? Read Matthew 28:1-10. Who is coming to the tomb? Why are they going to the tomb? What do you think they felt as they were on their way? What difficulties do they expect? Put yourself in their place, what would you feel if you experienced this earthquake and saw the empty tomb? How did these women react to seeing Jesus? Why did they worship him? Why do you think Jesus appeared to these women before the disciples? How is the resurrected Jesus appearing to us today? How can we pray for each other this week?
