As we dive into the witness of Scripture, we see that our confession and pleas for forgiveness, always anwered with grace by our Father, help restore us to right relationship with him. But in addition to that, it models the steep call to disciples of Jesus to forgive others in the same way.

What is the "daily bread" that Jesus refers to? As we examine this line of the prayer in the context of Scripture, we are faced with the steep cost and call for all of Jesus' disciples: to rely totally on the Lord for our provision and to stop trusting in ourselves.
