Believers in Christ have the ability to have a close relationship with God that others do not have. God loves everyone, but He has given you favor. If God is for you, no one - or no thing - can defeat you.
Hatred, in all its forms, comes from Satan. The only thing that overcomes hatred is the love of God that comes through the Holy Spirit.
