The Holy Spirit gave the church unity through the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is our responsibility as believers to walk in a manner that is worthy of that calling by continuing to maintain that unity. We are given One Lord, One Faith and One Baptism (4:4-6) so we grow to benefit the church and not ourselves.
