Healing From Our Past
In God There Is Healing

When we look at the book of Revelations 22 we see this picture of hope for complete restoration. We can look to the future for that complete healing, but we can look to Christ for the healing from our wounds in the now and the not yet.
Repentance and Forgiveness are Necessary

Paul instructed the church to discipline sin and remove a man in order to protect the church. His desire to fulfill the flesh was greater than his desire to please God and created a weakness to the church body. They didn't listen and the church was hurt and divided. After the hurt spread and almost destroyed the church, they finally did what needed to be done. As Paul predicted he realized his fault and he repented. Paul then gives instructions to welcome him back into fellowship and helping to bear the burden through love and forgiveness as a mark of true Christian Character. 2 Corinthians 2:5-11 When we deal with others especially those that hurt us, repentance and forgiveness are absolutely necessary so that we can replicate the model of Christ becoming the hands and feet, because we are in tune with his heart.
