A Prayer God Won't Answer
June 3, 2018 • Joel H. Goff
Jesus tells a story about two men praying in the temple and then he makes it clear that one of the prayers God would not answer. Would it be the prayer of the "good guy" or the prayer of the "bad guy"? You might be surprised what this story tells us about the heart of the Father towards anyone who comes to Him in prayer.
God's Love Has No Limits

In Matthew 21 Jesus tells a parable about some men who are hired by a landowner to plant a vineyard, build a wall around it and dig a wine press into the hillside. But after all their hard work they forget what is supposed to happen next. We sometimes forget that same important "end of the story" truth and if we do then we better be prepared for some real trouble. Come and hear how you can avoid the same costly mistake.
The Indifference of Jesus
May 13, 2018 • Joel H. Goff
Every day we make dozens of decisions about people based on how we see them. Our past experiences lead us to draw conclusions about these folks and we especially focus in on how they are different from us. Jesus again and again chose to overlook any differences because He was most concerned about how sin had broken their relationship with God. In the process of interacting with the Samaritan women at the well Jesus invites us to engage those we meet each day with a heart full of love.
What Love Looks Like

The Good Samaritan is one of the most familiar stories that Jesus told but have we somehow missed the message? Is the focus to answer the lawyers question: "Who is my neighbor?" Pastor Joel will explain that Jesus had something even more important for His followers to think about as they went about their daily lives.
God Can Change You

God Can Change Your Life: Jesus told a short parable about how a little bit of yeast enables 80 cups of flour to be raised before it is baked into loaves. In the same way our character and personality begins to be changed when Jesus takes up residence in our hearts and lives.
