Warren concludes his Life Well Lived series today with a look at the last two chapters of Ecclesiastes. You have heard the phrase, "To die as though having never really lived - that's the greatest tragedy." Should we live a fearful and mundane life? Should we let this machine of nature grind us to dust; get up, go to work, fix our food, watch TV, go to sleep, get up and repeat it all the next day? There has to be more.

Solomon says, NO! He encourages us to look for more out of life - Be Wise, but take a chance in life. BE BOLD!

Life Well Lived -Wisdom for the Journey - November 12, 2023

As we look at Chapter 10 of Ecclesiastes, we are reminded of Solomon's advice, that Wisdom is Better. We need to remember that whoever shouts the loudest isn't necessarily right. Wisdom of words should be heeded, not volume. Just because the talking head on your morning television program says something, doesn't mean it's true. Keep in mind: what is true is not always popular, what is popular is not always true. So act in wisdom; act in strength. Continue to do what is right, even if it is hard.

Life Well Lived - November 5, 2023

A life well lived requires living well in the moment by accepting the things you cannot change, having strength to change what you can, and having the wisdom to know the difference. In chapters 7 & 8 of Ecclesiastes, we are encouraged by Solomon to not get bent out of shape over God's patience. If God's justice was instant, then we'd all be in trouble, but, God doesn't work that way. He understands our frailties and imperfect nature. It may not seem fair when God's Justice is delayed, but it allows for God's grace to change us.

Life Well Lived - Challenge of Life with God in a Fallen World

Today, Warren teaches us out of the 3rd and 7th chapter of Ecclesiastes. Chapter 3 is probably the most well known passage of this book. The author of this book wants you to understand that every event in life has its place. There will be good times & bad times, but everything that happens is in God's Plan. When God is crafting the tapestry of life, He can't use just bright, happy colors to make a beautiful picture. He must also use the blacks, blues and grays - that provide the contrast and back drop for true beauty to exist.
