At advent we look back at Christ's first coming while at the same time we look forward with anticipation to His second coming. Before Christ's first advent, the people of God waited in anticipation for their deliverer. Simeon was promised that he would see the Messiah before he died and this was fulfilled in Luke 2:22-32. Today, God's people eagerly await His second coming. This is our hope.
