Today, there are many misconceptions in our society as to what a broken heart really is and how it affects us. When most people think of a broken heart, images of broken romantic relationships, pop and country songs that talk of losing the guy or gal, or intense emotional responses to a loss are the things that most often come to mind. We may conclude these events hurt for a moment or even a while, but we often don’t think of a broken heart as a spiritual issue, and not just a spiritual issue, but an issue that affects a person's entire life, including their physical health and relationships.
I believe there is a disconnect in our understanding of a broken heart and how it can affect our daily lives. Join me as we go through the Scriptures and the journey of many who have encountered this but saw God comfort and heal the broken heart.
