We begin our Beatitudes sermon series with Matthew 5:3, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” In the great contradiction – that is the beatitudes – we will discover that they are all about Jesus. The beatitudes teach us to seek Jesus through the Gospel and you will be a new person, enjoying all the benefits of a relationship with God, living in the Kingdom. We also look at Luke 18:9-14.
