Making Room for Revelation

December 31, 2023 • Pastor Hannah Burnette

The characters in the Christmas story are like signposts pointing to God’s Salvation for all the nations. Through them, we get a glimpse of the Salvation still being offered to us today. When we read about Zechariah, Elizabeth, Mary, and others, we find ourselves. We know what it is to ache, to wonder, to worship, and to wait.

As we watch these characters be transformed by God’s Salvation, His message works its way through us also… through our humanity, our yearnings, our longings… we experience His presence. As we make room for Him, He will dwell within us and the world will see Jesus in the flesh once again.
