God's Hand in Our Shrewdness (RR05)

November 21, 2021 • Rev. Dr. Steve Squires • Ruth 4:1–12

Pastor Steve continues a new, six week series entitled Redeeming Ruth. The story of Ruth is one of the best narratives in the Scriptures. Ruth's journey from her lowest point to her highest point is a story that will inspire us all. Her story is more than inspiration, because it's more than her story--it's actually God's story. It's a story about how we can see God's hand in all things and know in confidence that God is both sovereign and good. He wants the best for us!

Today's lesson examines God's Hand in Our Blessing as we look at Ruth 4:1-12. What does it take to reach you goals? What does it take to turn a vision into a reality? Wait and pray? Sure, that’s one step – the other is taking action! This week we’ll look at the shrewdness of Boaz and how he had a vision for Ruth and made it
happen in partnership with God.

The book of Ruth is hidden in the front of the Old Testament and stands as the eighth book of the Bible right between Judges and 1 Samuel.
