You Need to Persevere!

The New Heavens New Earth

November 28, 2021

Revelation 21:1-7 Then I saw "a new heaven and a new earth," for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.” 9 Convictions about Heaven: Application: Philippians 3:20-21 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the LORD Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like His glorious body. Have I transferred my citizenship from heaven to earth? Yes No

The Final Judgement

November 21, 2021

Does the Bible teach that God will hold us accountable? Acts 17:31 For He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the man He has appointed. Hebrews 9:27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment . . . Who is the judge? John 5:22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son. The Two Judgements: 1. Unbelievers 2. Believers Practical Application: Live as if you are going to have a monthly accountability meeting with your creator.

Hebrews 10:36 You need to persevere . . . so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised. Is it possible that beyond the visible world is an invisible world where a battle is going on between forces of evil and forces of good? Revelation 1:3 “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.” What are the two domains of spiritual victory? 1. The Inner Domain: Affirm who you are in Jesus. “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.” Dr. Charles Ryrie: We overcome Satan by “banking on the merits of the death of Jesus Christ.” 2. The Outer Domain: Tell others who they can be in Christ. “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.” Your testimony can change the trajectory of someone’s life.
