According to Brené Brown, "Comparison is the crush of conformity from one side and competition from the other -- it's trying to simultaneously fit in and stand out. Comparison says 'Be like everyone else, but better.'" Theodore Roosevelt once called it "the thief of joy". Is it possible to simply stop comparing, or is there a deeper issue that needs to be addressed?
