Includes Passover meal elements, prayer stations with (optional) foot-washing, and Communion. Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with his disciples. The word "Maundy" comes from the Latin "mandatum," meaning commandment, and refers to the new commandment that Jesus gave to his disciples to love one another as He had loved them. It is a time to remember the love, sacrifice, and servant heart of Jesus, and to renew our commitment to following in His footsteps.
