Bearing fruit as opposed to success.
We cannot separate the Church from Christ Himself.
Are you bearing fruit?
The praying church
October 8, 2023 • Joshua Ward • 2 Timothy 3:2–5
What do you think of when you hear the word churchy? Is it a good thing or a bad thing to be churchy? Is it something that we as the body should actively be in pursuit of or is it something we should stay away from? In today's sermon we explore the aspects of churchiness that can hinder our faith and lead us into a type of religion that is based on performance. We also discuss how developing a life of prayer is a crucial aspect of the life of the believer.
IF BY CHURCHY YOU MEAN THAT YOU ARE ROOTED IN THE THINGS OF GOD
AND ARE AUTHENTICALLY PURSUING HOLINESS THEN... STAY CHURCHY.
IF BY CHURCHY YOU MEAN THAT YOU DON'T JUST "LOOK" LIKE THE CHURCH
BUT YOU ARE ACTIVELY BE MADE INTO THE IMAGE OF CHRIST THEN... STAY
CHURCHY!
Who is the Church?

Join us for a powerful new sermon series as we explore what it means to be a committed follower of Jesus Christ. Many of us can fall into the trap of being "churchy" - going through the motions without fully giving ourselves to the work of the Lord. In this series, Pastor Ron challenges us to move beyond a casual faith and become steadfast and immovable in our devotion to God. Through engaging stories and insightful teaching, he shows how saying "yes" to Jesus is so much more than just showing up on Sundays. It's a daily choice to present our lives as living sacrifices, running the race with endurance. Don't miss this opportunity to reflect on the level of commitment you're bringing to your relationship with Christ. You'll be inspired to lay aside complacency and give yourself fully to the life of purpose God has for you. It's time to stop being "churchy" and start making your life count for eternity!
