It’s easy to blame God for our financial struggles; to call into question God’s promise to meet our needs. It’s easy to miss the lessons He teaches us during the times of want. It’s easy to blame God when our own life choices may be the reason we are struggling financially. In other words, it’s easy to dishonor God’s character during times of financial stress. The temptation is to fall into a grumbling spirit against God. So, no wonder James says to the poor man, rejoice in your high position because as you persevere you have the opportunity to see God do some miraculous things in your life as He meets your needs.
